About Our Logo

The new TAMIA logo incorporates elements of the FME and AMI logos, just as TAMIA itself is tied to these organisations. The logo was inspired by the previous TAMIA logo and the metal inset/geometry cabinet shapes, particularly the quatrefoil and circles resulting from overlapping quatrefoils (everything within the four smaller squares is made from quatrefoils). Only a few basic shapes are used as foundations for creating a larger, more complex design. The four smaller squares which combine to make a larger square also symbolise the four main areas which make up the whole of the Montessori classroom.
